Field Trip Details (View Next Trip!)

Note: Times listed in this schedule are departure times. 

Arrive 10-15 min early to arrange carpools and other details with leader.

(J) = Meet at Severna Park Park & Ride lot at the intersection of Jones Station Rd and Richie Hwy, NW corner. (Map)

(P) = Meet at Parole Park & Ride lot, off Harry Truman Parkway, between Riva Rd and DMV. (Map)

(B-50) = Meet at Bay 50 Shopping Center, just off Rte 50.  Use Whitehall Rd. exit ~1mile W of the Bay Bridge.(Map)

(L) = Bring a lunch

Res. = Reserve beforehand by calling leader.

Field Trip Etiquette
  • Wear appropriate clothing, hat & shoes.
  • Anticipate conditions in the field.
  • Don't forget sunscreen and insect repellent.
  • Leave pets at home.
  • Bring your binoculars and field guide
  • Don't leave the group without checking with the leader, both on the trail and in cars.
  • To prevent flushing birds, don't precede the leader on the trail.
  • Don't slam car doors.
  • Restrain conversations when birds could be encountered.
  • Leave natural areas undisturbed and litter-free.
  • When stopping cars to observe birds, pull well off the road and turn off the motor.
  • When carpooling, share fuel expenses.
